configs are in /usr/local/rancid/var/$GROUP/configs
where $GROUP comes from your LIST_OF_GROUPS=" ... " in rancid.conf

take another look at the 'Quick Installation Guide' steps in
 /usr/local/rancid/share/rancid/README

did you do everything in there?
