These do not exist at all:

rancid:/usr/local/rancid/var# ls CVS/
CVSROOT
rancid:/usr/local/rancid/var# ls asa/
configs  router.db  routers.all  routers.down  routers.up

>mv group group.old
>rancid-cvs group

Where am I doing these? In the var/ directory?

Then I assume this is if the group doesn't exist in CVS?
