  • When inserting a hard disk drive into its enclosure, make sure the top of the disk drive is touching the top of the enclosure. If you try to install it with the bottom of the disk drive touching the bottom of the enclosure, the drive will not align with the slide rails inside the encloser, and you will not be able to insert the drive. (Product Notes, 806-6134)
  • 18.2GB and 36GB IBM disk drives may be susceptible to early life failures problem (FIN I0724-2).
  • 18GB and 36GB IBM disk drives experiencing high failure rate in high humidity and high temperature environments (FCO A0182-1).
