[rancid] f5 LTM help

Great, I'll give it a spin.

Next question, I see there's some mention of a patch for 2.3.8 to work with the f5. I have the latest rancid 2.3.8, can someone send me the patch and tell me how to apply it? Or is it even needed (not that I've tested yet.)

Thanks, Matt

Yes, just do :f5:up.

Hey all, I've managed to get Cisco and Juniper working with Rancid, but with f5, there doesn't seem to be much documentation.

I did find a "f5rancid" in the 'bin' directory, but I'm not sure how to use it.

Do I simply put this in my routers.db file:

<hostname>:f5:up

Or is there some other "device-type" that is required to make rancid call the 'f5rancid' script?

Thanks, Matt
