Cisco CDN Software Enterprise Solution Registration Form

Thank you for purchasing the Cisco Content Distribution Network (CDN) Enterprise Solution Version 2.0.
Version 2.0 adds important new features to the CDN product. The software enhancements included in Version 2.0 are:
- Support for software license distribution to CDN devices through the Content Distribution Manager (CDM)
- Ability to reset the default administrator account password
- Improved performance on large file imports
- Improved handling of RealMedia files
- Ability to redirect to Content Engines (CEs) by host name or IP address
Along with this form, you should have received the equipment for the CDN Enterprise Version 2.0 product. Before attempting to activate any of your devices, you first need to register your CDN devices with Cisco Technical Support. Registration provides your devices with the settings and boot information necessary to begin communicating with each other.
When you register your CDN devices, you need to have specific information available to provide to the Cisco Technical Support representative concerning your CDM, CEs, and the configuration of your LAN.
The following table lists the information you will need to provide to the technical support representative for each device on your CDN:

MAC Address
| The Ethernet address of the device. This address is located on a label affixed to each device.

Serial Number
| The unique identifying number for the hardware device. This number is located on a label affixed to each device.
|
Along with the information above, you need to provide additional information concerning your CDM. The following table lists the CDM information you need to provide to the Cisco technical support representative.

IP Address
| Internet Protocol addressUnique numeric address assigned to the CDM. Please indicate if you are using DHCP and, if so, the permanent lease or static IP address assigned to the CDM.

Subnet Mask
| The IP address for the subnet on which the device is located.
|
DNS Server
| Domain Name ServerThe IP address of one or more servers that are searched to resolve the name of the computer.
|
Gateway Address
| IP address of a gateway device (or router) on the network.
|
Domain Name
| The network name assigned to the group of computers the device will be joined to.
|
Proxy Information (if applicable)
| The IP address and port number of the proxy server used to access the Internet using secure HTTP protocol.
|
Proxy Exceptions (if applicable)
| The IP addresses for which the proxy server is not being used.
|
