The MGX 8850 meets all applicable regulatory agency Product Safety requirements:
- UL 1950, Third edition (Standard for Safety, Information Technology Equipment, Including Electrical Business Equipment).
- CSA C22.2-#950-M95, (Standard for Safety, Information Technology Equipment, Including Electrical Business Equipment).
- EN 60 950 (Safety of Information Technology Equipment Including Electrical Business Equipment).
The environmental standards to which the Cisco MGX 8850 system is designed are Bellcore NEBS, GR-63-CORE, and ETSI ETS 300019.
The Cisco MGX 8850 chassis and enclosure is designed to meet all applicable regulatory agency EMC requirements (Class A EMI):
- FCC Part 15, subpart J or EN 55022 Class A for radiated and conducted emissions.
- Austel AS 3548, Class A, for radiated and conducted emissions.
- Japan VCCI, Class A, for radiated and conducted emissions.
- Canada (DOC) FCC part 15 subpart J, Class A.
- Bellcore NEBS GR-1089-CORE, Class A.
The Cisco MGX 8850 system is designed to meet the following standards:
- EN50082-1, Generic Immunity and Susceptibility Standard.
- EN61000-4-2 ESD, Level 4.
- EN610000-4-3, Radiated Susceptibility, Level 3.
- EN61000-4-4, Electrical Fast Transients, Level 4.
- EN61000-4-5, Surge/Lightning Simulation, Level 3.
The MGX 8850 was designed with consideration of the following standard:
- TU-T K.27, Bonding configurations and earthing inside a telecommunications building.
