This preface describes the objectives, audience, organization, and conventions of the Cisco MGX 8850 Software Configuration Guide.
This guide describes how to configure the MGX 8850 switch software and how to perform some operating procedures after the switch begins operation.
The Cisco MGX 8850 Software Configuration Guide provides network operators and administrators with information to set up the MGX 8850 switches to run Release 2 software.

Cisco documentation and additional literature are available in a CD-ROM package, which ships with your product. The Documentation CD-ROM is updated monthly. Therefore, it is probably more current than printed documentation. The CD-ROM package is available as a single unit or as an annual subscription.
