The Channelized Voice Module (CVM) is a multipurpose front card. A CVM circuit line can carry the following types of traffic:
To display the Card Configuration dialog for this device (using the rear or front view), right-click on the card to display the card "Configure" pop-up menu, then select Configure.
Use this dialog to display CVM card characteristics, hardware, firmware, and status information. The Card Configuration dialog parameters are described in Table 11-1.

FrontCard Type | Identifies the type of front card. In this case, it is an NTM. |
Front Card Serial# | Serial number on the front card. |
FrontCard Revision | Model, hardware revision, and firmware revision of the front card. |
Card Y-RedStatus | Card Y-Redundancy status. The values can be one of: primary, secondary, null. |
AssocCard for Y-red | Associated slot for this card's Y-Redundancy. If the Card Y-RedStatus is primary, the secondary card index displays in this field. If the Card Y-RedStatus is secondary, the primary slot index displays in this field. If Card Y-RedStatus is null, a zero (0) appears in this field. |
BOOTId | Boot ID of the processor card. If the card is not a processor card, this field is blank. |
No. Ports (Front Card) | Number of ports on the front card. |

To open the Line Configuration dialog, right-click on the line (rear view) to display the "Configure" pop-up menu, then click Configure. The Physical Line Configuration dialog is displayed. From the Category pull-down menu, select one of the following options:

To display and configure physical lines on a CVM card, select IGX: Physical Line Configuration from the Category menu. The parameters are described in Table 11-3.

To display and configure lines on a CVM card, select IGX: Line Config from the Category menu. The IGX: Line Config dialog displays as shown in Figure 11-1.

To display and configure voice channels on a CVM card, select Voice Channels from the Category menu. The Voice Channels dialog displays as shown in Figure 11-2.

The parameters are described in Table 11-5.

Channel Index | Specifies the channel or range of channels for the interface type configuration. |
Interface Type | Specifies the interface type to assign to the channel or range of channels. |
Dial Type | Specifies the dial type to assign. The three possible dial types are:
Inband is the default dial type. |
Signaling Delay(msecs) | Specifies the signaling delay for the user-configured dial type. The range is 12-96 ms. Your entry is rounded to the closest multiple of 1.5 ms. |
Min. Wink(msecs) | Specifies the minimum wink to assign to the user-configured dial type. The range is 3-765 ms. Your entry is rounded down to the nearest multiple of 3 ms. This parameter does not apply to CDP, UVM, or CVM channels. |
PlayOut Delay(msecs) | Specifies the signaling delay assign to the user-configured dial type. The range is 12-96 ms. Your entry is rounded to the closest multiple of 1.5 ms. |
Input Gain | Configures the amount of gain inserted by the IGX node for a given circuit line channel or range of channels. Gain can be configured between +6 dB and -8 dB. The input gain is inserted at the receive side of a voice card and is therefore applied before the signal is packetized by the card. |
Output Gain | Configures the amount of gain inserted by the IGX node for a given circuit line channel or range of channels. The output gain is inserted at the transmit side of a voice |
Channel Utilization | Species the expected utilization of Frame Relay, data, or voice channel as a percentage of the channel's total capacity. |
Unassigned channel Signalling | Unassigned channel signalling. |
Receive A Bit | Specifies the signaling sequence to be received for A bits in the event of a channel failure. Choose one from the pop-up menu:

Receive B-bit | Specifies the signaling sequence to be received for B-bits in the event of a channel failure. Choose one from the pop-up menu:

Receive C-bit | Specifies the signaling sequence to be received for C-bits in the event of a channel failure. Choose one from the pop-up menu:
