Configuring ASM Cards

Selecting the Card and Displaying Card Parameters

There are front and back Card Configuration dialogs for this device. To display a Card Configuration dialog, right-click on the card (from the front or rear views) to display the Card Configure pop-up menu, then select Configure to display the Card Configuration dialog.

ASM Card Configuration Dialog

Use the Card Configuration dialog to view ASM card characteristics, hardware, firmware, and status information. The Card Configuration dialog parameters are described in Table 7-1.

Table 7-1: Card Configuration Dialog Parameters

Parameter Description

Slot No.

Number that identifies the slot the card is installed in.

Card Status

Status of the card. Examples are:

Active: Card in use. No failure.

Standby: Card idle. No failures.

Failed: Card failed.

Down: Card downed.

Mismatch: Mismatch between front card and back card.

Missing: An active card has been removed.

BackCard Type

Back card type.

BackCard Serial #

Serial number on the card.

BackCard Revision

Model number and hardware revision of the back card.

No. Ports (Backcard)

Number of ports on the back of the card.

Parameter	Description
Slot No.	Number that identifies the slot the card is installed in.

BackCard Type	Back card type.

Note This is not a configurable dialog.
