About This Guide

This section discusses the objectives, audience, organization, and conventions of the WAN CiscoView for the BPX SES PNNI Controller publication. Related documentation, how to access Cisco documentation, and how to order additional copies of the Documentation CD-ROM, are also mentioned.

Audience

This publication is intended for anyone who operates or manages a WAN and has a general understanding of data communications concepts, general knowledge of UNIX, and knowledge of the interfaces used by devices connected to their WAN.

Organization

This publication is organized as follows

Chapter 1, "Product Overview," presents an overview of WAN CiscoView.

Chapter 2, "Managing the PNNI Node," provides instructions for displaying and configuring the PNNI Node information on the WAN CiscoView interface.

Chapter 3, "Configuring PXM Cards," provides information for configuring the card, ports or lines, and line monitoring.

Documentation CD-ROM

Cisco documentation and additional literature are available in a CD-ROM package, which ships with your product. The Documentation CD-ROM is updated monthly. Therefore, it is probably more current than printed documentation. The CD-ROM package is available as a single unit or as an annual subscription.

Ordering Documentation

Obtaining Technical Assistance

Cisco provides Cisco Connection Online (CCO) as a starting point for all technical assistance. Warranty or maintenance contract customers can use the Technical Assistance Center. All customers can submit technical feedback on Cisco documentation using the web, e-mail, a self-addressed stamped response card included in many printed docs, or by sending mail to Cisco.
