Table 14-2: BNM dsx3 Lines Table Parameters
Parameter Description

Line Number

Line number.

Line Enable

Line enabled status. Choose one from the pop-up menu:

  • modify

  • enable

  • disable

Line Type

Line type. Choose one from the pop-up menu:

  • dsx3CbitParity

  • g832-g804

  • dsx3M23

  • g751

  • dsx3Unframed

  • e3Unframed

Line Coding

Type of zero code suppression used on the line, which in turn affects a number of its characteristics. Choose one from the pop-up menu:

  • dsx3B3ZS

  • e3HDB3

Line Length

The line length. Choose one from the pop-up menu:

  • lessThan225

  • moreThan 225

Line OOF Criteria

Transmit clock source. Choose one from the pop-up menu:

  • fBits3of8

  • fBits3of16

Line Check AIS Bits

Determines the when AIS condition is declated. Choose one from the pop-up menu:

  • checkCbits: AIS is declared when 1010 pattern is found and C-Bits are all zero.

  • ignorebits: An AIS condition is declared when the AIS pattern 1010 is detected irrespective of the state of the C-Bits.

Line Loopback Command

Represents the loopback configuration of the DS3/E3 interface. Choose one from the pop-up menu:

  • dsx3NoLoop: Not in the loopback state. A device that is not capable of performing a loopback on the interface will always return this as its value.

  • dsx3RemoteLineLoop: Near End loops back Remote data.

  • dsx3RemoteLocalLineLoop: Near End loops back Local data(outbound).

  • dsx3RemoteInbndLocalLoopback: Near End inbound loops back Local data(inbound).

Line Receive FEAC Validation

Specifies the FEAC code validation criteria. Choose one from the pop-up menu:

  • fFEACCodes4Of5: Valid FEAC code is declared if 4 of 5 codes match.

  • fFEACCodes8Of10: Valid FEAC code is declared if 8 of 10 codes match.

Line Transmit FEAC Codes

Indicates what bit-oriented code is transmitted over the far-end alarm and control (FEAC) channel. Choose one from the pop-up menu:

  • dsx3SendNoCode: Sending looped or normal data.

  • dsx3SendLineCode: Sending a request for a line loopback.

  • dsx3SendPayloadCode: Sending a request for a payload loopback.

  • dsx3SendResourceCode: Sending a request for a resource loopback.

  • dsx3SendDS1LoopCode: Sending a request to put part of DS1/E1 within T3/E3 respectively into loopback.

  • dsx3SendTestPattern: Sending a test pattern.

Line XMT Clock Source

Source of Transmit Clock. Choose one from the pop-up menu:

  • backplaneCLK

  • recoverCLK

  • localCLK

  • enu

Far End Loopback Status

Describes Far End loopback status.
