This appendix describes the fields in tables accessed through the Configure menu. The following legend refers to the Notes column. Refer to this legend when deciding whether to edit an NMT default value.
An asterisk in the Configuration Extraction Tool (CET) column or the Third Party Interface (TPI) column indicates that application supports a particular field. For instance, the CET extracts site names from the StrataView Plus database, so there is an asterisk in the site row of the CET column.

| Network Parameters | ||
| Switch Software Release | 841 | The version of software running in the Cisco systems WAN network. This value is used by the NMT to determine the features supported by and the limitations of the modeled network. This parameter dictates if the model uses new IGX features, available in 82x releases, or new BPX features, available in 84x releases.
For advanced modeling, NMT provides the fictitious release 899. This release allows 82x and 84x features together, along with some other release 9 features. |
