Audience

This manual is written for systems integrators who need to install and configure the uOne application. It assumes these administrators have experience with UNIX.

Prerequisite Knowledge

The user of this manual should have a reasonable understanding of the following:

• Networked computing solutions design.

• Internet messaging architectures.

• Networking architecture design.

• Standards knowledge (LDAPv2, IMAPv4, VPIM, TCP/IP, etc.).

• Manipulating logs and generating reports in a UNIX environment.

• The selected hardware platform and third-party software (e.g., Netscape and Software.com back end servers) including availability and scalability design issues.

• uOne architecture.
