Administering AMIS-A External Users

Administering AMIS-A External Users

The AMIS-A feature allows subscribers of uOne to send messages to non-uOne subscribers called External Voice Mail Users (EVMUs). This is done through features such as record and send a message, reply via a message, and forward. Voice messaging for EVMUs is handled by another external voice messaging system. uOne simply routes voice mail for those users to the other voice messaging system.

For uOne to route voice mail for EVMUs, System Administrators must add entries for these EVMUs to the uOne LDAP directory.

Note   Intuity Interchange AMIS-A users are not EVMUs. You do not need to provision Intuity Interchange AMIS-A users in the LDAP database.

Prerequisites

Before you provision EVMUs in the uOne LDAP database, ensure that the following tasks have been completed:

Administering AMIS-A EVMU Users

On your uOne system, you can create, modify, and delete AMIS-A users.
