Your all-calls greeting is used for all calls, unless you activate another greeting. In addition to your all-calls greeting, you can record greetings that are used for specific types of calls, such as calls received after the close of business or when your line is busy. If you don't record an all-calls greeting or call type specific greetings, your callers will just hear your recorded name with the default system greeting.
Step 1 Press 3 from the Main menu.
Step 2 Record one of the following greetings:
| Press: | To: |
1 | Record your all-calls greeting. |
2 | Record a greeting for no-answer calls (when you're not in). If activated, this greeting overrides the all-calls greeting. |
3 | Record a greeting for busy calls (when you're on the phone). If activated, this greeting overrides the all-calls greeting. |
4 | Record a greeting for out-of-business-hours calls (when your office is closed). If activated, the system greeting plays during business hours. |
5 | Record a greeting for an extended absence (when you're away from the office for an extended period of time). Callers cannot leave you a message when this greeting is active. |
6 | Record your name for the system greeting. |
7 | Record a greeting for Single-Number Reach. If activated, this greeting overrides all other greetings. Note Single Number Reach may not be available, depending on how your company has chosen to implement the system. |

Step 4 Press 1 to activate your greeting. You must activate your greeting before the system can play it.
