Personal Administration

Personal Administration

After the administrator adds a subscriber to the uOne system, subscribers and administrators can use the web based uPower/Personal administration tool to perform user preference administration tasks such as personalizing their mailbox settings, setting up message notification, and creating distribution lists.

uPower/Personal Administration

The uPower/Personal web-based tool can perform many of the user preference administration tasks that are also available from the telephone device options.

You can use the uPower/Personal web interface to administer user preferences by following these steps.

Step 1 Click the Start button in the Windows task bar to get the Start popup menu.

Step 2 Select Programs, then Netscape Communicator.

Step 3 Select the Netscape Navigator option to access the browser.

Step 4 Type the following URL in the browser location field.

http://<fully qualified hostname>:280/Subadmin

This brings up the login screen for the uPower/Personal administration tool. For assistance with the fully qualified hostname see your System Administrator.

Note If a DNS server is not enabled, the IP address would need to be inserted for the fully qualified hostname.
