This installation of uOne Corporate integrates with CallManager 2.4. In order for uOne to operate properly, you need to configure CallManager 2.4 to operate with uOne. The process of configuring CallManager includes the following topics:
Before you configure CallManager, you need to gather the information necessary for CallManager to integrate with uOne. Use Table 2-1 Software Configuration Worksheet from the "Configuring uOne" chapter of this guide as a worksheet for gathering and checking your configuration information.

The following instructions allow you to configure CallManager 2.4 for uOne by using the Device Wizard.
Step 2 Select the Programs menu in the popup menu.
Step 3 Select Cisco CallManager 2.4, then CallManager Administration. The Cisco CallManager web page displays.
Step 4 Enter your network User Name and Password to log in to CallManager.
Step 5 Click the Configuration button.
Step 6 Click the Device Wizard button.
Step 7 In the Device Type dropdown list, select "Cisco Voice Mail," and click Next.
Step 8 In the Device Name text box, enter the name of the device. This name must match the name entered in the CMDeviceName key of the SS.ini file for uOne (for example, CiscoUM). See Table 2-1 in the "Configuring uOne" chapter of this guide for reference.
Step 9 In the optional Description text box, enter descriptive text about the device (for example, Message System for cert1), and click Next.
Step 10 In the Device Pool text box, select Default Pool from the dropdown menu and click Next.
Step 11 In the Location dropdown list, select the default of none and click Next.
Step 12 In the How many directory numbers would you like to create? dropdown list, select a number from the list. This number is equal to the number of uOne ports. For example, if you have 20 ports, you would need 20 devices.
Step 13 In the What is the pilot directory number? text box, enter the directory number of the first device. This must be the same as the Cisco Voice Mail pilot number in the DialMap.ini file. See Table 2-1 in the "Configuring uOne" chapter of this guide for reference.
Step 14 Scroll down to the last entry and forward the number back to the pilot number to create a loop.

Note The pilot number for the MWI light is not the same as the pilot number that connects uOne with CallManager. Thus, the system uses two pilot numbers. |
Step 15 Leave the What is the operator number? field blank. The Device Wizard now generates all the devices, numbered sequentially.
Step 16 Click Next. A confirmation screen appears.
Step 17 Click Finish, and then click OK.
Step 18 Minimize the CallManager Administration window to the Windows task bar.
To set the message waiting indicator information in CallManager, go to the CallManager Administration and perform the following steps.
Step 2 Click the Configuration button.
Step 3 Click the System button.
Step 4 Scroll to the bottom of the web page to locate the System Parameters section and click the Configure button.
Step 5 Change the following parameters:
Step 6 Click the Update button at the top of the page.
Step 7 Click Continue.

To set up the MWI device, follow these steps.
Step 2 Click on the Device Wizard link.
Step 3 Select Cisco Voice Mail from the dropdown list and then click the Next button.
Step 4 Enter CiscoMWI in the Device Name text box, and click the Next button. This name is case sensitive and should match the CMDeviceName listed in the SSMWI.ini file.
Step 5 Use the default Device Pool by clicking the Next button.
Step 6 Enter the Cisco Voice Mail MWI device directory number in the What is the pilot directory number? text box and click the Next button. (See Table 2-1 in the "Configuring uOne" chapter of this guide for reference.) This should be a number which is not be used by the system for any other purpose.
Step 7 Click the Next button.
Step 8 Click the Finish button.
Step 9 Click OK.
Step 2 Click the green Configure button located to the left of the Cisco Messaging Interface section name.
Step 3 Enter the pilot directory number for the Voice Mail device.
Step 4 Select the COM port number from the dropdown list.

Note If there is no MWI Device installed, you do not need the COM port number. |
Step 5 Click Update, then click Continue.

Tips If you configure auto-registration for a valid range, you do not have to add each phone manually to the system. |
Each telephone is administered individually for call forwarding. Each phone should be administered to forward to the uOne directory number for Busy calls and No Answer calls.
If auto registration is disabled in CallManager, follow these steps to configure the devices.
Step 2 Click the Configuration button at the top of the CallManager Administration web page.
Step 3 Click the Cisco IP Phone menu.
Step 4 Select the MAC address of the phone you are setting up from the dropdown menu.
Step 5 Click the New button in the Forward section.
Step 6 Select the appropriate directory number for the phone you are setting up.
Step 7 Select the number you entered in the What is the pilot directory number? field from the Directory Number dropdown list.
Step 8 Enter the Cisco Voice Mail pilot directory number for the Call Forward Busy and Call Forward No Answer Destination fields. (See Table 2-1 in the "Configuring uOne" chapter of this guide for reference.)
Step 9 Enter the new entries into the database.
Step 10 Repeat steps 2 through 9 for each phone.
If auto registration is enabled in CallManager, follow these steps to configure the devices.
Step 2 Click the Configuration button at the top of the CallManager Administration web page.
Step 3 Click the Cisco IP Phone menu.
Step 4 Select the MAC address of the phone you are setting up from the dropdown menu.
Step 5 Select Line 1 found under the Line Number attribute.
Step 6 Enter the directory number (subscriber telephone number) and the name of the subscriber in the Display field.
Step 7 Click Update, then click Continue.
Step 8 Click the directory number found under the Forward Attribute.
Step 9 Select the directory number from the dropdown list.
Step 10 Enter the Cisco Voice Mail pilot directory number for the Call Forward Busy and Call Forward No Answer Destination fields. (See Table 2-1 in the "Configuring uOne" chapter of this guide for reference.)
Step 11 Reset the device.
Step 12 Repeat steps 2 through 11 for each phone.
