Uninstalling Software

Uninstalling Software

To Remove uOne and other files use NT Add/Remove Programs and remove files in the following order:

Removing uOne

Step 1 Select uOne and click the Add/Remove button to remove uOne.

Step 2 Select Apache and click the Add/Remove button to remove Apache (If you plan on only removing uOne, we recommend you remove Apache as well).

Step 3 Restart the server.

Step 4 Delete the uOne directory (e.g., C:\CiscoSystems\uOne).

Removing Netscape

Step 1 If you plan on removing Netscape servers then select the appropriate applications and click the Add/Remove button.

Step 2 Select "No to All" when prompted to delete files. The uninstaller asks you this question several times. Selecting "yes" may cause problems with standard NT operations, including a proper system boot!

Step 3 Restart the Windows NT machine to close any files that are open in the SuiteSpot directory before you delete that directory in the next step.

Step 4 Delete C:\Netscape\SuiteSpot directory.

Step 5 Restart the Windows NT machine.

Note After you uninstall uOne, Apache Server, and the Netscape servers, you need to examine the NT Registry to ensure that Windows NT has removed all references to the above software components. The area to look for in is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet \Services (each \ delimits nested registry "folders"). Scan the Service registry area for references to the above software components. Delete any reference you find.
