The following are notes on specific Netscape Messaging Server settings that affect uOne operations. You must install the Netscape Communicator and Netscape Director Server first, before you can install the Netscape Messaging Server.
Step 1 Obtain the proper version of Netscape Messaging Server Installation file (m362eiu.exe) in the directory that contains the installation files.
Step 2 Run the Netscape Messaging Server Installation file to launch the installation wizard that guides you through a series of dialog boxes. These dialogs typically have the Next and Back button to proceed to the next and previous dialog box, respectively.
Step 3 Click on the Next button in the opening dialog box.
Step 4 A Question message box appears asking you if you want to view the readme file. Click the No button.
Step 5 On the License Agreement dialog box, read the license agreement and determine whether or not you wish ti agree to its provisions. Click on the appropriate response. If you choose not to agree with the provisions of the license agreement, you must stop the installation process.
Step 6 On the Software Destination Location dialog box choose "<path>\SuiteSpot" (e.g., C:\Netscape\SuiteSpot) and then click the Next button. Use the Browse button to select a different directory.
Step 7 Click the Next button in each of the next three dialog boxes.
Step 8 For LDAP Server Authentication, enter the following information and click the Next button:

Step 9 For Messaging Server Authentication use the following information and click the Next button:

Step 10 If the Non-existent User dialog box displays, click the Yes button. This action will create a new user on the system.
Step 11 For Messaging Server Configuration enter the following information and click the Next button:

Step 12 For Messaging Server Postmaster e-mail address enter the following information and click the Next button:

Step 13 Disable (by deselecting the check box) sending the welcome message when a new user is created and click the Next button.
Step 14 For the LDAP Server Authentication enter the following information and click the Next button.:

Step 15 Select the Netscape Messaging Server Spool Directory destination "<path>\spool" (e.g., C:\Netscape\SuiteSpot\MailServer\spool) and click the Next button. You can use the Browse button in this dialog to select a directory other than the default or currently selected one.
Step 16 Select the Netscape Messaging Mailbox Directory destination "<path>\mailbox" (e.g., C:\Netscape\SuiteSpot\MailServer\mailbox) and click the Next button. You can use the Browse button in this dialog to select a directory other than the default or currently selected one.
Step 17 The wizard displays summary information. Click the Next button.
Step 18 Select "Connect to Messaging Server home page" and deselect the readme file. Click the Finish button.
Step 19 Login to the Administration Sever by entering the user name and password ("admin" for both entries).
Step 20 Click the appropriate Netscape Messaging Server <Server ID>.
Step 21 Netscape may display a separate window for registration. Make sure that you have a license or will register for one. Click the appropriate window to close it.
Step 22 Select "Single Copy".
Step 23 Enable Single Copy Store for Messages by selecting "On" and clicking the OK button. Once you have finished, a new message dialog box appears that says "Success!". Click the OK button.
Step 24 Go to the ADMIN page by clicking on the Admin button that is located at the top.
Step 25 Switch off the Messaging Server and then switch it back on so your changes will take effect. Netscape displays a message box after switching the server off and then on again. Click the OK button.
