uOne Installation and Configuration

uOne Installation and Configuration

The installation tool installs the following uOne components:

Note You must install all backend servers first to ensure proper installation of uOne.

Install uOne Server

Step 1 Obtain the proper version of uOne (uOne 4.1.1.X.exewhere X is the build number) from the directory that contains the installation files.

Step 2 Run the uOne installation program, which uses a wizard to guide you through a series of dialog boxes. These dialogs typically have the Next and Back button to proceed to the next and previous dialog box, respectively.

Step 3 Select the uOne directory where files will be temporarily unpacked and click the Next button. For example, enter the directory c:\temp. If you are reinstalling the software in the same directory, you may be prompted to overwrite existing files (from a previous installation). Click the Yes to All button.

Note If you do not install uOne in the parent directory of the directory containing the Apache Server, then uPower, the web administration tool, will not work (uTel and uPilot will still work).

Step 4 Click the Next button when the wizard displays the Welcome dialog box.

Step 5 The installation of uOne should be the same "base" directory as the one for Apache Server. For example, if Apache is installed in directory C:\CiscoSystems\uOne\Admin, then uOne should be installed in C:\CiscoSystems\uOne. Use the Browse button to select a new directory. Click the Next button.

Do not use a directory name that includes imbedded spaces. Using one or more imbedded spaces confuses the installation wizard and leads to unpredictable results.

Step 6 Click the Yes or No buttons as appropriate to the question "Does your LDAP database have existing uOne user(s)?". Answer "No" since the system you are installation is new and has no existing database of uOne users. Click the Next button.

Step 7 Select all components and then click the Next button.

Step 8 Click the Next button when the wizard displays the Select Program Folder dialog box.

Step 9 On the uOne installation dialog, enter the following information and then click the Next button:

Step 1 Start Netscape SuiteSpot Administration.

Step 2 Click <your machine name> (e.g., Cert-uOne1).

Step 3 The Apply button should be flashing red. Select Apply.
