Please refer to the Apache Server installation guide that comes with the server. These instructions do not replace the Apache Server installation instructions. The following are notes on specific Apache Server settings that affect uOne operations. You must install the Netscape Communicator, Netscape Director Server, and Netscape Messaging Server before you install the Apache Server.
Step 1 Run apache_1_3_4_win32.exe and this will step you through Apache installation.
Step 2 On the License Agreement dialog box, read the license agreement and determine whether or not you wish ti agree to its provisions. Click on the appropriate response. If you choose not to agree with the provisions of the license agreement, you must stop the installation process.
Step 3 Click the Next button when the Readme Information dialog box appears.
Step 4 When prompted for the directory, choose <directory where uOne will be installed>\Admin (please see the previous note to select the proper directory). Use the Browse button to enter the proper directory name. Click the Next button when you have finished selecting the new directory.
Step 5 Select Typical and click the Next button.
Step 6 Click the Next button when the Select Program Folder dialog box appears.
Step 7 Click the Finish button to complete the setup.
Step 1 From the Windows desktop Start menu, select Programs.
Step 2 Select Apache Web Server.
Step 3 Select Install Apache as Service (NT only).
Step 1 From the Windows Start menu, select Settings.
Step 2 Select Control Panel.
Step 3 Select Services.
Step 4 Observe the Apache Server entry in the list of services. The Apache Server should be on Automatic. Do NOT start the Apache Server. Do NOT reboot the machine before you install uOne. Doing so will create a conflict between IIS and Apache because both will be trying to use port 80. Once you install uOne, the Apache Server is directed to use port 280. Hence rebooting after installing uOne does not create a conflict with IIS.
