Preface
This section discusses the intended audience and organization of this Cisco ICS 7750 Hardware Installation Guide and defines the conventions used to convey instructions and information.
This guide is for installers and operators of the Cisco Integrated Communications System 7750 (referred to from this point on as the Cisco ICS 7750 or the system). This guide is intended primarily for the following audiences:
- Customers with some experience installing telephone or internetworking equipment.
- System administrators who are responsible for installing, operating, and maintaining internetworking and telephony equipment
This guide is organized as follows:
- "Cisco ICS 7750 Product Overview," briefly describes the product and its hardware components.
- "Preparing for Installation," describes actions you must take and concepts you should understand before installing the system.
- "Installing the Cisco ICS 7750," describes how to mount the system and connect cables to the individual subsystem components, which come preinstalled in the chassis. It also describes how to remove and install the subsystem cards, power modules, and fan trays.
- "Cisco ICS 7750 Power Information," describes how to cable the system for power and includes power-reference information for the system.
- "Cisco ICS 7750 Processor Cards," describes each subsystem card in detail, including descriptions of the front-panel connectors and LEDs.
- "Technical Specifications," includes technical specifications for the system.
- "System Power Consumption," includes power consumption information for the system, based on installed components.
- "Cable and Connector Pinouts," includes cable and connector pinouts for the system.
