Installation Notes

If you have a 3411, 3415, 3422, 3423, or 3431 server, you do not need to install the Cisco IP/TV v3.0 Service Pack 1 CD. The contents of the Cisco IP/TV v3.0 Service Pack 1 CD have already been included on your server.

However, if at any time you need to rebuild your server, use the Cisco IP/TV v3.0 Rebuild CD, and then install the Cisco IP/TV v3.0 Service Pack 1 CD.

Note Close all windows and programs before installing Service Pack 1. After installing the service pack for Cisco IP/TV Content Manager, reset the system.

Resolved Caveats

This section lists and describes all resolved caveats in Cisco IP/TV 3.0 Service Pack 1.

Cisco IP/TV Server

More robust CIF/QCIF detection for UCB Mbone transmissions.
Shared Slidecast causes the server to serve 1 fps (frames per second) or locks up.
The ASF programs in the VOD category play out of sync.

Cisco IP/TV Content Manager

Programs which begin and end in the same month and repeat do not work past the year 1999.
When modifying a share Slidecast program, an error message is displayed that states the multicast address is in use.

Cisco IP/TV Viewer

More robust CIF/QCIF detection for UCB Mbone transmissions.
When viewing a program in the full screen mode, pressing CTRL-I or CTRL-R will cause viewer to hang.
Video and Slidecast windows are being swapped with shared Slidecast.
Disable fullscreen mode in iptv.ini does not work.
Plugin hangs when launched in two browser windows.
VOD program in fullscreen mode. At end of program machine crashes with Microsoft Windows 2000 or hangs (NT).
