These release notes describe how to upgrade the Cisco IP/TV 3410, 3420, and 3430 servers from IP/TV version 2.0 to version 3.0
These release notes summarize the following topics:

Perform the following steps to upgrade the Cisco IP/TV 3410 server from version 2.0 to version 3.0:
Step 1 Stop the JavaWebServer by performing the following steps:
(a) Click Start>Settings>Control Panel>Services.
(b) Select the JavaWebServer option and click Stop.
(c) Click on Close.
(d) Close the Control Panel window.
Step 2 Uninstall IP/TV Content Manager version 2.0 by performing the following steps:
(a) Click Start>Programs>Cisco IPTV Content Manager>unInstallShield.
(b) Click Yes, Yes To All, or OK as prompted.
Step 3 Install Service Pack 5 by performing the following steps:
(a) Insert the upgrade CD and click Next.
(b) Click View CD Content and then click Next.
(c) Go to the SP5 folder and double-click on the sp51386 file.
(d) Click Accept to accept the license agreement.
(e) When the installation is complete, close all windows and click Restart.
Step 4 Install Internet Explorer 5.0 by performing the following steps.
(a) After your computer restarts, click on the My Computer icon and then the CD icon.
(b) Click View CD Content and then click Next.
(c) Select the IPTVServer folder and then select the IE5 folder.
(d) Double click on the ie5setup file.
(e) Click Accept to accept the license agreement and then accept all defaults.
(f) When completed, exit the Setup program and then restart your computer.
Step 5 Install IP/TV Content Manager version 3.0 by performing the following steps:
(a) After your computer restarts, click on the My Computer icon and then the CD icon.
(b) Click the IPTV Content Manager.
(c) Enter the license key when prompted.
(d) Choose the javawebserver folder when prompted, otherwise accept all other defaults.
(e) Restart your computer.
Perform the following steps to upgrade the Cisco IP/TV 3420 server or the Cisco IP/TV 3430 server from version 2.0 to version 3.0:
Step 1 Stop the IPTVServer.
Step 2 Install Service Pack 5 by performing the following steps:
(a) Insert the upgrade CD and click Next.
(b) Click View CD Content and then click Next.
(c) Go to the SP5 folder and double-click on the sp51386 file.
(d) Click Accept to accept the license agreement.
(e) When the installation is complete, close all windows and click Restart.
Step 3 Install IPTV Server 3.0 by performing the following steps:
(a) Stop the IPTVServer.
(b) After restarting your computer, click on the My Computer icon and then the CD icon.
(c) Click IPTV Server 3.0.
(d) Enter the license key when prompted.
(e) Accept all the default and optionally install the media files.
Step 4 Install the WINNOV 2.7 drivers by performing the following steps:
(a) Stop the IPTVServer.
(b) After restarting your computer, click on the My Computer icon and then the CD icon.
(c) Click View CD Content and then click Next.
(d) Select the Winnov 2.7 folder.
(e) Double click on the ntrel27 file.
(f) Click No on the Winnove add-on menus. There is no need to register the software.
Step 5 Install the optional Windows Media Server by performing the following steps:
(a) Stop the IPTVServer.
(b) After restarting your computer, click on the My Computer icon and then the CD icon.
(c) Click View CD Content and then click Next.
(d) Select the WMTServer folder.
(e) Double click on the wmserver file. Use the same media root as IPTV.
(f) Restart your computer.
