This chapter describes messages issued by Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). These messages are T01SN000 through T01SN999.

T01SN001I

SNMP Agent initialized

The Cisco IOS for S/390 SNMP Agent has successfully initialized. This message is displayed on the console.

T01SN002E

SNMP Agent initialization failed -------- reason code = n X'xx'

Explanation    A parsing error occurred in the SNMCFGxx member. This message is displayed on the console.

Syntax Description

n	Decimal return code. 04 - Configuration Processing Failed 08 - Shutdown scheduler request block failed to initialize 12 - The getmain failed for SNM task group.
X"xx"	Hexadecimal return code

Recommended Action    Return code 4 indicates an error in SNMCFGxx. Review SNMCFGxx for statement in error. Correct and restart the SNM task.

Return code 8 indicates an internal error in the SNM task group. Contact Customer Support.

If a return code of 12 is encountered, attempt to restart the SNM task group. If return code 12 persists, contact Customer Support.

T01SN003E

Configuration member SNMCFGxx did not contain a POOLDEF options statement     for 'NAME(SNMP)'

Explanation    The SNMCFGxx member is missing a POOLDEF statement for SNMP. This message is displayed on the console.

Recommended Action    Include an SNMP POOLDEF statement in your SNMCFGxx member. Read the Cisco IOS for S/390 Customization Guide for details.

T01SN004E

Configuration member SNMCFGxx did not contain a POOLDEF options statement     for 'NAME(XAE)'

Explanation    The SNMCFGxx member is missing a POOLDEF statement for XAE. This message is displayed on the console.

Recommended Action    Include an XAE POOLDEF statement in your SNMCFGxx. Read the Cisco IOS for S/390 Customization Guide for details.

SNM shutdown - SNM subtask detached

Explanation    The Cisco IOS for S/390 SNMP Agent has successfully shut down. This message is displayed on the console.

T01SN010I

Orderly shutdown of SNM task group requested

Explanation    The Cisco IOS for S/390 SNMP Agent has received a request to stop the task group. This message is displayed on the console. Orderly shutdown of the SNM task group continues.

T01SN011W

Fast shutdown of SNM task group requested

Explanation    The Cisco IOS for S/390 SNMP Agent has received a request to stop the task group and purge all outstanding requests. This message is displayed on the console. Fast shutdown of the SNM task group continues.

T01SN012E

Cancel shutdown of SNM task group requested

Explanation    The Cisco IOS for S/390 SNMP Agent has received a request to cancel the SNM task group and terminate all active tasks. This message is displayed on the console. Cancel of SNM task group continues.

T01SN013E

Unknown command in configuration member mem_name -     command cmnd_name invalid

Explanation    An unknown command cmnd_name was encountered in the SNMCFGxx member mem_name. This message is displayed on the console.

Syntax Description

mem_name	Unknown command.
cmnd_name	Specified configuration member.

Recommended Action    Correct configuration member and restart SNM task group. Read the Cisco IOS for S/390 Customization Guide for details.

T01SN014E

Only one cmnd_name command is allowed in configuration member mem_name

Explanation    The SNMCFGxx member can only have one instance of the specified command. This message is displayed on the console.

Syntax Description

cmnd_name	Repeated command.
mem_name	Specified configuration member.

Recommended Action    Remove duplicate statement and restart SNM task group.

T01SN015E

Parsing of input parameters in configuration member mem_name failed,     reason code = rsn_code

Explanation    The SNM task group could not be started because of errors in the SNMP command statement in the SNMCFGxx member. This message is displayed on the console.

Syntax Description

mem_name	Specified configuration member.
rsn_code	Return code used by Customer Support to debug the problem, if necessary.

Recommended Action    Correct SNMP command statement in the SNMCFGxx configuration member and restart SNM task. group. If necessary, read the Cisco IOS for S/390 Customization Guide for syntax of the SNMP command.

T01SN016E

Required keyword kywd not specified on stmnt statement in     configuration member mem_name

Explanation    The keyword indicated was not specified on the statement indicated in the configuration member shown.

Recommended Action    Review the statement and supply the required keyword.

T01SN017E

Configuration member mem_name not found or empty

Explanation    The SNMCFGxx member specified on the START SNM command was not found or is empty. This message is displayed on the console.

Recommended Action    Verify that the SNMCFGxx member specified is in the SYSPARM data set concatenation.
