You can launch the UserTracking application from the CWSI main window or as a standalone application on your workstation.
UserTracking is installed as a part of the CWSI suite of network management applications, so you can start UserTracking from the CWSI main window:
The UserTracking main window opens, as described in "UserTracking Main Window."
You can launch UserTracking as a standalone application on your workstation even if CWSI is not running.
To launch UserTracking as a standalone application, do one of the following:
install_dir\usertracking[-userusername] [-aninameaniname]
If you do not specify your user ID and server name from the command line, you are prompted for this information when you log in (see "Logging In").
If you launch UserTracking from the CWSI main window, you are automatically logged in to the network with your CWSI user identification. If you launch UserTracking as a standalone application without entering your login information, you must provide your login information for network access.
To log in to the network, follow these steps:
Step 1 Start the UserTracking application.
The Login window opens.
Step 2 Enter your username.
The username must be known to ANI and would typically be the same as for CWSI.
Step 3 Enter the name of the ANI server to use.
The default server name is AniServer.
Step 4 Click Login.
This establishes interaction with the ANI server.
When you have logged in, the UserTracking main window opens (see "UserTracking Main Window").

The UserTracking main window (Figure 2-1) contains the following components:
To close the UserTracking application and log off:
