Document Conventions

Network management interfaces use the following conventions:

Command paths in a graphical user interface (GUI) are indicated as follows: Action>Reports>Switch Detail
NT systems use a two-button mouse. To drag and drop using an NT system, press and hold down the left mouse button on the icon you want to drag, drag it to the target, and release it to drop the icon on the target.
UNIX systems use a three-button mouse. To drag and drop using a UNIX system, press and hold down the middle mouse button on the icon you want to drag, drag it to the target, and release it to drop the icon on the target.
Screen displays may differ slightly from those included in this publication depending on the window system you are using. For example, Windows NT screens are different from HP OpenView screens.

Notes use the following conventions:

Note Means reader take note. Notes contain helpful suggestions or references to material not covered in the publication.

Cautions use the following conventions:

Caution Means reader be careful. In this situation, you might do something that could result in equipment damage or loss of data.
