Displaying LANE Components in the CWSI Map

Displaying LANE Components in the CWSI Map

When you launch VlanDirector from the CWSI map window, VlanDirector adds options to the Map Highlighting box in the CWSI map window. The VLAN option allows you to display information about a selected VLAN. See Chapter 6, "Displaying LANE Components in the CWSI Map." If you have an ATM network, the LANE option allows you to display information about your ATM devices. Figure 7-1 shows the CWSI map window with the VLAN and LANE map highlighting options.

Displaying Single and Multiple ATM VLANs

Click on an ATM VLAN name in the Names window to display devices and links that belong to the selected ATM VLAN in the CWSI map window. You can select multiple ATM VLANs by pressing Ctrl and clicking on the ATM VLAN names.

Click the & button in the VlanDirector toolbar to display all members of the VLANs selected in the Names window. Click the / button to display only common members of the VLANs selected in the Names window.

The VLAN is displayed in the color that it was assigned when it was created.

The ATM VLAN is highlighted in its assigned color on the CWSI map.

Step 2 Click the plus sign next to LANE.

The Client, LE Server, and Config Server options appear.

Step 3 Click the plus sign, if shown, next to the options to display suboptions, or click the check box to highlight those elements for the selected ATM VLAN on the CWSI map. See Table 7-1 for descriptions of the map highlighting options and suboptions.
