This appendix lists the most common TrafficDirector error messages.
Error Message Invalid Domain NameExplanation Usually occurs when running functions from the command line.The domain name used is not correct. You may also see this message in Domain Manager due to improper name syntax.
Error Message Domain not present in AgentExplanation Usually occurs when running functions from the command line.The domain name is not correct, or the specified domain has been deinstalled.
Error Message Invalid Agent NameExplanation Usually occurs when running functions from the command line. The agent name is not correct, or the agent has not been deleted from NSM.
Error Message Cannot open SNMP session with AgentExplanation There is a problem with the TCP/IP stack on a PC running NSM, or there are insufficient resources, such as socket descriptors.
Error Message Entry or Group not present in AgentExplanation The specified domain has been deinstalled from the agent.
Error Message No Memory availableExplanation There is not enough memory available to run the application. Usually applies to Windows.
Error Message Max Agents already in useExplanation You have reached the maximum number of agents allowed in NSM. The limits are 100 agents.
Error Message No more resources in AgentExplanation The agent has run out of resources to handle the number of tasks you have specified. For example, you can only do four simultaneous data captures outside domains.
Error Message Cannot communicate with AgentExplanation The agent is not responding to NSM. The community string used by NSM is invalid, or there may be a variety of physical or configuration problems at the agent.
Error Message Unexpected SNMPAPI error, See console window for detailsExplanation This message can be caused by a variety of problems. Refer to the console window for more information about the problem.
Error Message No resources in Agent, See console window for detailsExplanation The agent does not have sufficient resources to handle a request. Refer to the console window for more information about this problem.
