-config <string> or -elc <string> | Specifies the file name (<string>) of a configuration file (.elc) to load at start up. The default is no configuration file. |
-server <string> | Specifies the name (<string>) of the ObjectServer to connect to. When not specified, the environment variable NCO_SERVER is used; when this is not set, the server name defaults to NCOMS. |
-username <string> | Sets the username (<string>) to connect as. |
-password <string> | Sets the password to use. (This is not recommended, as it currently advertises the password in the UNIX systems process list; use at your own risk). |
-cmap | Makes the Event List use its own color map rather than the default color map. |
-nlw | Do not display license expiration warnings. |
-diagnostic | Display extended diagnostic messages (for support only). |
-help | Prints help text on the command line options in the Event List and exits immediately. |
-version | Prints version information on the Event List and exits immediately. |
-uneditable | Disables the Filter and View edit buttons and the Event List Configuration window so you cannot edit filters and views. |
-alt | Switches the Event List to Alternative mode (see Appendix B, "The UNIX Alternative Mode"). |

When you drag and drop an object, the mouse pointer indicates the type of information in the object. This is known as the drag source. Table A-13 describes the mouse pointer icons.

You can only drop objects on valid drop sites. When you drag the pointer, a status image shows whether or not the drop site is valid.
Table A-14 describes the icons that appear for each status.

| Green | The pointer is over a valid drop site that can accept the object. Dropping the object with this status causes the drag and drop operation to complete. |
| Red | The pointer is over a valid drop site, however, the site cannot accept the type of object. Dropping the object with this status causes the drag and drop operation to abort. |
| Black | The pointer is not over a drop site and the object cannot be dropped. Dropping the object with this status causes the drag and drop operation to abort. |
