Command Line Parameters

Table I-1: Info Gateway Command Line Options
Option Parameter Description

-name

<string>

-logfile

<string>

Log file. Specifies the name of the log file. When omitted, defaults to:
$OMNIHOME/log/gatename.log.

-config

<string>

Configuration file. Specifies the name of the configuration file which is read at start up. When omitted, defaults to: $OMNIHOME/etc/gatename.conf.

-debug

-notruncate

Do not truncate logfile.

-marginal

Run in marginal service mode. Normally when any read/writer fails, the Info Gateway exits. When in marginal service mode, the Info Gateway attempts to clean up and continue operation.

-uniquelog

Without -logfile set, forces the log file to be uniquely named by appending the process ID of the Info Gateway to the end of the default log file name. With -logfile set, this has no effect.

-queue

<numeric>

Sizing parameter for internal queues. Do not set unless under the advice of technical support.

-version

Display version information. The Info Gateway displays version information and exits.

-help

Display Help information. The Info Gateway displays information on the command line options and exits.
