Use the Template Manager to define and apply ACL policies for filtering traffic. These topics describe the Template Manager and how it works:
Use the Template Manager to create, modify, and use templates across scenarios. Only users with administrator privileges can create templates, but all users can be view and use them. Once they are created, templates are saved in a directory hierarchy. If you change the base template, you can instruct the Template Manager to update all the devices to which a given template has been applied.
You can apply templates created with the Template Manager by accessing the ACL Manager Use wizard (refer to Chapter 7, "ACL Manager Use Wizards"). You can also modify an ACL or set of ACEs you saved in a template. Multiple sessions of the Template Manager can run at the same time.
This section explains how to start the Template Manager.
Step 1 Select Tools > Template Manager from the ACL Manager main window. The Template Manager window is displayed (see Figure 6-1).
The following icons are specific to the Template Manager toolbar:
New Template---opens a dialog to create a new template.
New Folder---opens a dialog to create a new template folder in the template directory.
The template attributes are displayed in the right pane.
