Note The CD One 2nd Edition 1.1.1 Voice Update is backward- compatible with Campus Manager 3.0, so you do not have to install the Campus Manager 3.0.1 Voice Update to use the CD One 2nd Edition 1.1.1 Voice Update. |
The 1.1.1 Voice Update for CD One 2nd Edition is a collection of updated packages needed for voice support. The Voice Update contains only updated packages, not a complete CD One 2nd Edition image. Therefore, CD One 2nd Edition is required for the Voice Update.
Use the CD One 2nd Edition 1.1.1 Voice Update if you plan to use Cisco CallManager3.0(2b)with CD One 2nd Edition or need any of the following fixes to known problems in CD One 2nd Edition:

a. a. Select CiscoWorks2000 Server > Administration > Database Management > Back Up Data Now. The Back Up Data Now dialog box appears.
b. b. Enter the pathname of the target directory.
c. c. To begin the backup, click Finish.
Step 2 As root, mount the CD One 2nd Edition Voice Update CD-ROM, using either of the following methods:
For more information about mounting and unmounting the CD-ROM, refer to Installing and Setting Up CD One 2nd Edition on Solaris.
Step 3 Run the installation program.
For a local installation, enter:
# cd /cdrom/cdrom0
# ./setup.sh
For a remote installation, enter:
# cd remotedir
# ./.setup.sh
where remotedir is the remote location where the CD-ROM is mounted.
Step 4 To verify the installation, select CW2000Server > About CW2000 > Applications and Versions. The CD One 2nd Edition row should display the current installation date and one installed patch.
The Voice Update overwrites certain CD One 2nd Edition packages, so uninstalling the Voice Update removes both the Voice Update and CD One 2nd Edition, as well as your database. The allowrollback script allows you to reinstall CD One 2nd Edition plus the Voice Update without needing to uninstall.

Caution You must reinstall the Voice Update after running this script to return your system to a supported configuration. |
If you want to remove the Voice Update, refer to the "Uninstalling CD One 2nd Edition and the Voice Update" section.
Step 2 Reinstall CD One 2nd Edition to restore files that were overwritten by the Voice Update. Refer to Installing and Setting Up CD One 2nd Edition on Solaris for more information.
Step 3 Delete the temporary file cw2k.install:
# rm /TEMP/cw2k.install
where TEMP is the setting of your TEMP environment variable.
Step 4 Reinstall the Voice Update according to the instructions in the "Installing the Voice Update from the CD-ROM" section.
Step 5 To verify the installation, select CW2000Server > About CW2000 > Applications and Versions. The CD One 2nd Edition row should display the current installation date and one installed patch.
The Voice Update overwrites certain CD One 2nd Edition packages, so to roll back to CD One 2nd Edition, you must uninstall and reinstall CD One 2nd Edition and restore data from the backup previous to the Voice Update installation.

Step 3 Reinstall CD One 2nd Edition. Refer to Installing and Setting Up CD One 2nd Edition on
Solaris.
Step 4 Restore the database from your previous backup, performed in Step 1. Refer to the ANI Server Admin online help for more information.

Caution Restoring the database from a backup permanently replaces your database with the backed up version. Also, as a part of restoring the database, CiscoWorks2000 is shut down and restarted. Make sure you are not running any critical tasks. Otherwise, you might lose data. |
