Overview of the Voice Update

Caution The Voice Update overwrites certain CD One 2nd Edition packages, so a rollback to CD One 2nd Edition requires that you uninstall and reinstall CD One 2nd Edition and restore your database.

Note   The CD One 2nd Edition 1.1.1 Voice Update is backward-
compatible with Campus Manager 3.0, so you do not have to install the Campus Manager 3.0.1 Voice Update to use the CD One 2nd Edition 1.1.1 Voice Update.

The 1.1.1 Voice Update for CD One 2nd Edition is a collection of updated packages needed for voice support. The Voice Update contains only updated packages, not a complete CD One 2nd Edition image. Therefore, CD One 2nd Edition is required for the Voice Update.

Use the CD One 2nd Edition 1.1.1 Voice Update if you plan to use Cisco CallManager3.0(2b)with CD One 2nd Edition or need any of the following fixes to known problems in CD One 2nd Edition:

Uninstalling CD One 2nd Edition and the Voice Update

The Voice Update overwrites certain CD One 2nd Edition packages, so to roll back to CD One 2nd Edition, you must uninstall and reinstall CD One 2nd Edition and restore data from the backup previous to the Voice Update installation.

Caution Uninstalling CD One 2nd Edition deletes the database. Make sure to back up your database before uninstalling.

If you want to reinstall both CD One 2nd Edition and the Voice Update, refer to the "Reinstalling CD One 2nd Edition and the Voice Update" section.

Step 1   Back up your database.

Windows NT
.

Step 4   Restore the database from your backup in Step 1. Refer to the ANI Server Admin online help for more information.
