The Routed WAN Management Solution consists of five CD-ROMs.
You must install the following CD-ROMs on the same system and in the sequence shown:
1. CiscoWorks2000 CD One (CD One)---consists of CiscoWorks2000 server (common set of management services for CiscoWorks2000 family products), CiscoView (graphical device management tool), and Integration Utility (support for third-party network management systems)
2. Resource Manager Essentials (Essentials) 3.0
3. Access Control List (ACL) Manager 1.1
The following applications are standalone. You can install them on the CiscoWorks2000 server (after you install CD One and Essentials) or on a different system. If you have a large network, it is recommended that you install them on a different system.
You must install the software in this bundle on systems that meet specific requirements. You must configure client systems and some applications before use. The table on the following pages shows basic requirements, installation order, and the required and recommended configuration tasks. For step-by-step procedures and information about all features, refer to the online help and the documents shown in the table.
Before installing any of the software in this package:

| Task | Procedure | References | |||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Step 1 | Make sure minimum server requirements are met:
| Installing and Setting Up CD One, Chapter 1 | ||
You must follow the sequence of installation in this table; CD One must be installed before Essentials, and Essentials must be installed before ACL Manager. To install and run all three requires at least 4 GB available disk space. If you are managing more than 100 devices with Essentials, refer to the Essentials installation guide for further system recommendations. | |||||
Step 2 | Read the release notes and installation guide. The release notes might contain last-minute updates to the installation instructions. | CiscoWorks2000 CD One 1st Edition Release Notes | |||
Step 3 | Install CD One. If ACL Manager 1.0 was previously installed on the server, the CD One installation will fail. You must back up your ACL Manager data and remove ACL Manager 1.0 before installing CD One. Refer to the ACL Manager 1.1 documentation. Note If you are upgrading from CWSI Campus 2.2, 2.3, or 2.4 or upgrading from Essentials 2.0, 2.1, or 2.2, the CD One installation program removes the previous CWSI or Essentials software and saves the database(s). You cannot reinstall CWSI Campus on the server after installing Essentials 3.0. | Installing and Setting Up CD One, Chapter 2 | |||
Step 4 | Reboot the system. |

Step 5 | (Optional) Verify or troubleshoot the installation. | Installing and Setting Up CD One, Troubleshooting appendix | |||
