This Routed WAN Management Solution (RWAN) maintenance kit on Windows NT contains the April 2000 updates. If you already have the RWAN 1.0 installed, this document addresses the upgrade issues that you need to consider.

The Routed WAN Management Solution Maintenance kit contains upgrades to:

CiscoWorks2000 CD One Second Edition (CD One)---includes the CiscoWorks2000 Server, CiscoView 5.1, and the Network Management Integration Module which provides support for third party Network Management Stations.

What's New in RWAN

RWAN has been designed specifically to provide solutions for managing router devices in a wide-area network. This version of the product has many new features that are geared to help you manage router devices in your network more efficiently.

Resource Manager Essentials 3.1

Configuration Editor: This version has a new web-based Configuration Editor. This facilitates editing multiple configuration files from the configuration archive. These configured files can then either be saved locally or downloaded to the device.

Software Image Manager: This tool automates upgrading switch and router software from CCO. Software Image Manager has been updated to support software update prerequisite checking for Cisco IIGX/BPX, MGX6X8850 w/RMP, and MGX8220 devices.

Device import: With this version, the device import can now be done from Cisco Wan Manager as well as CWSI Campus 2.x, 3.x, HP OpenView, Tivoli NetView, or a flat file.

Multi-service port report provides information on the number and location of Catalyst switches that have multi-service port enabled.

ACL Manager 1.1

The ACL Manager 1.1 (Patch 2) supports new routers, access servers and switches such as the 7202, 7204VXR, 7206VXR, 7506, 7576 in the Cisco 7000 series of routers. For a complete list of the new supported devices, refer to Release Notes for ACL Manager 1.1 (Patch 2) on Windows NT.

TrafficDirector 5.8

Traffic Director has enhanced switch support for Catalyst software 6.0. Additionally, this version provides 400S support for the Catalyst 4006, 2806G, and the E3 ATM and SP 4.7 probes.

Internetwork Performance Monitor 2.1

IPM 2.1 has enhanced troubleshooting features for path and hop performance analysis. This version also integrates with the device inventory knowledge of other CiscoWorks2000 products. This release adds support for TCP, DLSW, DHCP, DNS, UDP Echo, UDP Jitter, and IP Precedence.
