Before You Begin

This chapter describes the factors to consider and tasks to perform before you install Essentials and CWSI Campus. Although the two products have separate CDs and installation programs, they are part of the CiscoWorks2000 Family of Products and are related in several important ways.

Product Structure

The CiscoWorks2000 Family of Products consists of two products: Resource Manager Essentials (Essentials) and CWSI Campus. It ships in two configurations:

Caution Essentials must be installed on the system before CWSI Campus can be installed. The install procedure for CWSI Campus will not work unless Essentials is installed first.
