Sample NAS Installation (Non-Netscape Web Server)

This appendix provides a sample Netscape Application Server (NAS) installation in which the Web server is not a Netscape Web server.


Example E-1: Sample NAS Installation (Non-Netscape Web Server)
Please select one of the following installation options : 
 
 
1. Install Netscape Application Server with Web Server Component plugin.
2. Install Netscape Application Server Enterprise Administrator.
3. Install Netscape Application Server without Web Server Component plugin.
4. Upgrade to Netscape Application Server 2.1.
5. Upgrade to Netscape Application Server Enterprise Administrator 2.1.
6. Upgrade to Netscape Application Server w/o Web Server Component plugin 2.1

Netscape Application Server (NAS) supports Distributed Data Synchronization
(DSync). DSync maintains data across multiple Netscape Application Servers and
is important aspect for partitioned and distributed applications.
 
To configure DSync, you must know the TCP/IP addresses and Executive Server
(KXS) port numbers of ALL participating servers.
