Step 3 of the CSRC installation process is to install a Web server. This appendix discusses the Netscape Enterprise Server (NES). It provides background information you need to know to install the NES and it provides installation information specific to CSRC.
Step 3 of the CSRC installation process is to install a Web server.
To install the Web server, you will need the Netscape Enterprise Server (NES) installation kit for Windows NT available from Netscape.
The Web user interface package requires that you install a Web server on the same host as the package.
Table C-1 lists the disk space requirements for Netscape Enterprise Server (NES).

Cisco has tested and verified that the Netscape Enterprise Server (NES) version 3.62 operates properly with CSRC. Cisco does not provide the NES software package. You must purchase a copy of NES version 3.62 from Netscape.
As you install the Netscape Enterprise Server, be sure to indicate the following information on the "CSRC Installation Worksheet" (Table 2-1):
Install NES as root so you can use the default Web server port 80. To install NES, execute the ns-setup installation program and follow the installer's instructions.

After you successfully install NES, you must do the following:
Step 1 Open the NES administration pages in a Web browser. The NES installer prompts you for the browser you want to use to open the administration pages.
Step 2 Click Create New Enterprise Server.
Step 3 Verify the defaults for the new server. On the "CSRC Installation Worksheet", record the values of the Document Root parameter (box 6), the Server Username parameter (box 8), and the Port number parameter (box 9).
Step 4 Click OK to accept the defaults.
Step 5 Click Configure More About Your Server.
Step 6 Click Programs.
Step 7 Enter the following URL prefix at the prompt:
cgi-bin
Step 8 Enter the full path to the cgi-bin directory at the URL directory prompt. Cisco recommends creating a new cgi-bin directory at the same location as the default primary document directory. In standard installations, Cisco recommends that you create this directory in C:\netscape\suitespot\cgi-bin.
Step 9 On the "CSRC Installation Worksheet" (Table 2-1), record the cgi-bin directory (box 7).
Step 10 Click OK and then click Save.
Step 11 Click Content Management and then click Additional Document Directories.
Step 12 Enter the following URL prefix at the prompt:
csrc/images/
Step 13 Enter the following directory in the Map to Directory prompt:
C:\Program Files\CSRC\images\
Step 14 Click OK. A warning message appears indicating that the directory cannot be found. Click OK and then click Save.
Step 15 Enter the following URL prefix at the prompt:
csrc/
Step 16 Enter the following directory in the Map to Directory prompt:
C:\Program Files\CSRC\html\
Step 17 Click OK. A warning message appears indicating that the directory cannot be found. Click OK and then click Save.
Step 18 Click Server Preferences and then click Error Responses.
Step 19 In the Error Code: Not Found section, enter the following file at the File prompt:
C:\Program Files\CSRC\html\ur-redirect.html.
Step 20 Click OK. An error message appears indicating that the file cannot be found. Click OK.
Step 21 Click Apply in the top-level menu of the browser window.
Step 22 Click Save and Apply.
Step 23 Click Server Preferences and then click On/Off to verify that the server has successfully started.
