Performance Data

Performance Data

The Cisco Digital Subscriber Line Manager (CDM) provides performance data for the following:

Note The status of the particular object appears at the bottom of the window as PRE_PROVISIONED/NORMAL/ COMMISSIONED/DECOMMISSIONED or ERRORED. If the status is ERRORED, none of the values displayed can be queried. By default, the window is refreshed every 10 seconds displaying the status.

Viewing OC-3 Port Performance Data

The Open OC-3 Port Performance option opens the window which displays the performance data for the OC-3 port including ATM Layer information.

Viewing OC-3 Port Performance Data

To view OC-3 port performance data:

Step 1 From the pop-up menu on a selected OC-3 port object, select Performance --\> OC-3 Port.

The OC-3 Port Performance Data window appears, containing two tabbed sections:

Selecting the Trunk Tab/Subtend Tab or the ATM Tab

Depending on the OC-3 port for which you want to obtain performance data, CDM displays either the Trunk tab with the ATM tab or the Subtend Tab with the ATM tab.

To view the performance data displayed in these tabs:

Step 1 Select the required OC-3 Port from the list box.

Step 2 Select the Trunk/Subtend tab or the ATM tab. Information appears in each attribute box.

Note By default, the values corresponding to the first object in the list box appear in the appropriate sections.

Trunk/Subtend Tab

The OC-3 Port Performance Data window Trunk tabs and Subtend tabs are split into three areas (Figure 7-1):

Section Area

Displays a collection of attributes providing information specific to SONET/SDH Section interface as follows:

Line Area

Displays a collection of attributes providing information specific to SONET/SDH Line interfaces. This section displays the statistics of the SONET/SDH Line for the latest 15-minute interval.

Path Area

Displays a collection of attributes providing information specific to SONET/SDH Path interface.

ATM Tab

The OC-3 Port Performance Data window ATM tab displays the following information (Figure 7-2):

Viewing DS3 Port Performance Data

The Open DS3 Port Performance option will open the window which displays the performance data for the DS3 port including ATM Layer information.

Viewing DS3 Port Performance Data

To view the DS3 Port performance data:

Step 1 From the pop up menu on a selected DS3 port object, select
Performance --\> DS3 Port.

Step 2 The DS3 Port Performance Data Manager window appears, containing two tabbed sections.

Selecting the Trunk Port Tab/Subtend Tab or the ATM Tab

Depending on the DS3 port for which you want to obtain performance data, CDM displays either the Trunk Port tab with the ATM tab or the Subtend Tab with the ATM tab. To view the performance data displayed in these tabs:

Step 1 Select the required DS3 Port from the list box.

Step 2 Select the Trunk Port/Subtend tab or the ATM tab. Information appears in each attribute box.

Note By default, the values corresponding to the first object in the list box appear in the appropriate sections.

Viewing ADSL Line Performance Data

The Open ADSL Line Performance option opens the window which displays the performance data for the ADSL line.

Accessing the ADSL Line Performance Data Window

To view the ADSL Line Performance data window:

Step 1 From the pop-up menu available on a selected ADSL line object, select Performance --\> ADSL Line.

The Port Performance window appears with the ADSL Line tab displayed(Figure 7-3), and contains three tabbed sections:

Selecting Performance Data Tabs

To view the performance data displayed in any tab:

Step 1 Select the required object from the list box.

Step 2 Select the ADSL Line tab or the ADSL Channel tab or the ATM tab.

Information appears in the attribute box.

Note By default, the values corresponding to the first object in the list box appear in the appropriate sections.

ADSL Line Tab

The ADSL Line tab (shown in Figure 7-5) is split into three sections, as follows:

Total

The Total area displays the measurement reported during the last activation sequence as follows:

Current 15 Minutes

The Current 15 Minutes area displays the time in the previous 15 minute interval over which the performance monitoring information is actually counted, as follows:

Current 1 Day

The Current 1 Day section displays the time in the previous 1-day interval over which the performance monitoring information is actually counted.

This value is normally the same as the total interval duration, except in a situation in which performance monitoring data cannot be collected. Typically Elapsed 1-day time is copied into Monitored Seconds if a 1-day rollover occurs.

ADSL Channel Tab

The ADSL Channel tab is split into two sections (Figure 7-6):

Current 15 Minutes

The Current 15 Minutes section displays the time in the previous 15-minute interval over which the performance monitoring information is actually counted, as follows:

Current 1 Day

The Current 1 Day section displays the time in the previous 1-day interval over which the performance monitoring information is actually counted. This value is normally the same as the total interval duration, except in a situation in which performance monitoring data cannot be collected. Typically Elapsed 1-day time is copied into Monitored Seconds if a 1-day rollover occurs.
