Performance Data
The Cisco Digital Subscriber Line Manager (CDM) provides performance data for the following:

Note The status of the particular object appears at the bottom of the window as PRE_PROVISIONED/NORMAL/ COMMISSIONED/DECOMMISSIONED or ERRORED. If the status is ERRORED, none of the values displayed can be queried. By default, the window is refreshed every 10 seconds displaying the status. |
The Open OC-3 Port Performance option opens the window which displays the performance data for the OC-3 port including ATM Layer information.
To view OC-3 port performance data:
Step 1 From the pop-up menu on a selected OC-3 port object, select Performance --\> OC-3 Port.
The OC-3 Port Performance Data window appears, containing two tabbed sections:
Depending on the OC-3 port for which you want to obtain performance data, CDM displays either the Trunk tab with the ATM tab or the Subtend Tab with the ATM tab.
To view the performance data displayed in these tabs:
Step 1 Select the required OC-3 Port from the list box.
Step 2 Select the Trunk/Subtend tab or the ATM tab. Information appears in each attribute box.

The OC-3 Port Performance Data window Trunk tabs and Subtend tabs are split into three areas (Figure 7-1):
- Section area
- Line area
- Path area

Section Area
Displays a collection of attributes providing information specific to SONET/SDH Section interface as follows:
- Errored Seconds---The number of errored seconds encountered by a SONET/SDH Section in the latest 15-minute interval.
- Severely Errored Seconds---The number of severely errored seconds encountered by a SONET/SDH Section in the latest 15-minute interval.
- Severely Errored Framing Seconds---The number of severely errored framing seconds encountered by a SONET/SDH Section in the latest 15-minute interval.
- Coding Violations---The number of coding violations encountered by a SONET/SDH Section in the latest 15-minute interval.
Line Area
Displays a collection of attributes providing information specific to SONET/SDH Line interfaces. This section displays the statistics of the SONET/SDH Line for the latest 15-minute interval.
- Errored Seconds---The number of errored seconds encountered by a SONET/SDH Line in the latest 15-minute interval.
- Severely Errored Seconds---The number of severely errored seconds encountered by a SONET/SDH Line in the latest 15-minute interval.
- Unavailable Seconds---The number of unavailable seconds encountered by a SONET/SDH Line in the latest 15-minute interval.
- Coding Violations---The number of coding violations encountered by a SONET/SDH Line in the latest 15-minute interval.
Path Area
Displays a collection of attributes providing information specific to SONET/SDH Path interface.
- Errored Seconds---The number of errored seconds encountered by a SONET/SDH Path in the latest 15-minute interval.
- Severely Errored Seconds---The number of severely errored seconds encountered by a SONET/SDH Path in the latest 15-minute interval.
- Severely Errored Framing Seconds---The number of unavailable seconds encountered by a Path in the latest 15-minute interval.
- Coding Violations---The number of coding violations encountered by a SONET/SDH Path in the latest 15-minute interval.
The OC-3 Port Performance Data window ATM tab displays the following information (Figure 7-2):

- Number of OCD Events---The number of times the Out of Cell Delineation (OCD) events occurred. If seven consecutive ATM cells have Header Error Control (HEC) violations, an OCD event occurs.
- Number of Cells Transmitted---The number of cells transmitted of this interface, including p2p and p2mp cells.
- Number of Cells Received---The number of cells received on this interface, including p2p and p2mp cells.
The Open DS3 Port Performance option will open the window which displays the performance data for the DS3 port including ATM Layer information.
To view the DS3 Port performance data:
Step 1 From the pop up menu on a selected DS3 port object, select
Performance --\> DS3 Port.
Step 2 The DS3 Port Performance Data Manager window appears, containing two tabbed sections.
Depending on the DS3 port for which you want to obtain performance data, CDM displays either the Trunk Port tab with the ATM tab or the Subtend Tab with the ATM tab. To view the performance data displayed in these tabs:
Step 1 Select the required DS3 Port from the list box.
Step 2 Select the Trunk Port/Subtend tab or the ATM tab. Information appears in each attribute box.

Figure 7-3 shows the Trunk Port tab of the DS3 Port Performance Data Manager window:

The Trunk Port tab displays a collection of attributes that provide information specific to DS3 data as follows:
- C-bit Severely Errored Seconds---The number of C-bit severely errored seconds encountered in the latest 15-minute interval.
- C-bit Errored Seconds---The number of C-bit errored seconds encountered in the latest 15-minute interval.
- C-bit Coding Violations---The number of C-bit coding violations encountered in the latest 15-minute interval.
- P-bit Severely Errored Seconds---The number of P-bit severely errored seconds encountered in the latest 15-minute interval.
- P-bit Errored Seconds---The number of P-bit errored seconds encountered in the latest 15-minute interval.
- P-bit Coding Violations---The number of P-bit coding violations encountered in the latest 15-minute interval.
- Severely Errored Framing Seconds---The number of severely errored framing seconds encountered in the latest 15-minute interval.
- Line Coding Violations---The number of line coding violations encountered in the latest 15-minute interval.
- Line Errored Seconds---The number of line errored seconds encountered in the latest 15-minute interval.
- Unavailable Seconds---The number of unavailable seconds encountered in the latest 15-minute interval.
The ATM tab displays the following information:

To view the ADSL Line Performance data window:
Step 1 From the pop-up menu available on a selected ADSL line object, select Performance --\> ADSL Line.
The Port Performance window appears with the ADSL Line tab displayed(Figure 7-3), and contains three tabbed sections:
To view the performance data displayed in any tab:
Step 1 Select the required object from the list box.
Step 2 Select the ADSL Line tab or the ADSL Channel tab or the ATM tab.
Information appears in the attribute box.

The ADSL Line tab (shown in Figure 7-5) is split into three sections, as follows:
- Total
- Line Current 15 Minutes
- Current 1 day

Total
The Total area displays the measurement reported during the last activation sequence as follows:
- Loss of Framing---Total number of Loss of Framing failures since agent reset.
- Loss of Signal---Total number of Loss of Signal failures since agent reset.
- Loss of Link---Total number of Loss of Link failures since agent reset.
- Loss of Power---Total number of Loss of Power failures since agent reset.
- Errored Seconds---Total number of Errored Seconds since agent reset.
- Initialization Attempts---Total number of line initialization attempts since agent reset. It includes both successful and failed attempts.
Current 15 Minutes
The Current 15 Minutes area displays the time in the previous 15 minute interval over which the performance monitoring information is actually counted, as follows:
- Time elapsed---The number of seconds that have elapsed in the specified interval. A full interval is 900 seconds.
- Loss of Framing---The number of seconds in the current 15-minute interval during which Loss of Framing was detected.
- Loss of Signal---The number of seconds in the current 15-minute interval during which Loss of Signal was detected.
- Loss of Link---The number of seconds in the current 15-minute interval during which Loss of Link was detected.
- Loss of Power---The number of seconds in the current 15-minute interval during which Loss of Power was detected.
- Errored Seconds---The number of Errored seconds in the current 15-minute interval.
- Initialization Attempts---The number of line initialization attempts in the current 15-minute interval. It includes both successful and failed attempts.
Current 1 Day
The Current 1 Day section displays the time in the previous 1-day interval over which the performance monitoring information is actually counted.
This value is normally the same as the total interval duration, except in a situation in which performance monitoring data cannot be collected. Typically Elapsed 1-day time is copied into Monitored Seconds if a 1-day rollover occurs.
- Time Elapsed---The number of seconds that have elapsed since the beginning of the current 1-day interval.
- Loss of Framing---The number of seconds since there was Loss of Framing during the current day.
- Loss of Signal---The number of seconds since there was Loss of Signal during the current day.
- Loss of Link---The number of seconds since there was Loss of Link during the current day.
- Loss of Power---The number of seconds since there was Loss of Power during the current day.
- Errored Seconds---The number of errored seconds that have elapsed during the current day.
- Initialization Attempts---The number of line initialization attempts in the day. It includes both successful and failed attempts.
The ADSL Channel tab is split into two sections (Figure 7-6):
- Current 15 Minutes
- Current 1 Day

Current 15 Minutes
The Current 15 Minutes section displays the time in the previous 15-minute interval over which the performance monitoring information is actually counted, as follows:
- Time Elapsed (sec)---The number of seconds that have elapsed in the specified interval. A full interval is 900 seconds.
- Received Blocks---The number of all encoded blocks received on this channel within the current 15-minute interval.
- Transmitted Blocks---The number of all encoded blocks transmitted on this channel within the current 15-minute interval.
- Corrected Blocks---The number of all blocks received with errors that were corrected on this channel within the current 15-minute interval.
- Uncorrected Blocks---The number of all blocks received with uncorrectable errors on this channel within the current 15-minute interval.
The Current 1 Day section displays the time in the previous 1-day interval over which the performance monitoring information is actually counted. This value is normally the same as the total interval duration, except in a situation in which performance monitoring data cannot be collected.
