This appendix provides cable and technical specifications for the Catalyst 4003 and 4006 switches.

Supervisor Engine Ethernet Management Port

The Catalyst 4003 switch has a 10BaseT Ethernet management port. The Catalyst 4006 switch has a 10/100BaseT Ethernet management port. Both the Catalyst 4003 and 4006 Ethernet management ports have DTE RJ-45 receptacles and a STATUS LED. Table A-1 lists the Ethernet management port pinouts for the Catalyst 4003 and 4006 switches.

Catalyst 4003 Supervisor Engine Console Port

The console port use a DB-25 connector and supports DTR, DSR, CTS, and RTS handshake signals. Table A-2 lists the console port pinouts for the Catalyst 4003 switch.

Catalyst 4006 Supervisor Engine Console Port
