This section describes the intended audience, objectives, and organization of the Catalyst 1900 Series Installation and Configuration Guide and defines the conventions used to convey instructions and information. This guide is for the trained and qualified networking professional installing and maintaining the Catalyst 1900 series Ethernet switches, also referred to as the Catalyst 1900 switches. We assume that readers of this guide are familiar with the terminology and concepts of Ethernet and local area networking.
