This document provides instructions for using the telco mounting brackets supplied with the Catalyst 1924-EN-DC Ethernet switch (hereafter referred to as the
Catalyst 1924-EN-DC switch or the switch) and installing the switch in a telco rack.
After you have installed the switch in a rack, see the Connecting the Catalyst 1924-EN-DC Switch to a DC-Input Power Source for information about connecting the switch to a DC-input power source.
The switch is shipped with two pairs of mounting brackets. One pair is for telco racks with mounting holes that are 1¼-inch apart; the other pair is for telco racks with mounting holes that are 1-inch apart (Figure 1). Select the pair that is suitable for the telco rack in which you plan to install your switch.
The bracket orientation and the screws you use depend on whether you are attaching the brackets for 19-, 23-, or 24-inch telco rack-mounting:
Place the switch on a level surface, and use two of the supplied Phillips flat-head or truss-head screws to attach a mounting bracket to each side of the switch. Secure all four screws tightly, but do not overtighten them.
The following sections show how to attach only one bracket to one side of the switch. Follow the same steps to attach the second bracket to the opposite side of the switch.
Use 700-01945-xx or 700-04794-xx mounting brackets.
Use 700-03105-xx mounting brackets.
