This chapter provides cable connectors and pinout information for the MCU.
The cable type and connector used with the MCU is the EIA/TIA-232 serial, 9-pin, D-type MCU connector and null modem cable.
Table E-1 describes the various pins of the EIA/TIA-232 9-pin serial port:

To connect the MCU serial port to a modem or a PC you need a null modem cable. The Terminal/Modem cable that is shipped with the MCU is configured to use with a PC or a modem. Figure E-1 illustrates the connectors for the Terminal/Modem cable.
