ViewRunner allows you to add and delete various system components. This chapter discusses deleting modules and chassis in ViewRunner.
To delete a module, follow this procedure:
Step 1 Move your cursor over the slot of the module you want to delete and right-click. The menu shown in Figure 10-1 appears.
Step 2 Select Delete Module. ViewRunner deletes the module from that chassis.

For CAP ATU-C and line interface modules (LIMs), you must lock the module before you delete it.
To lock a module, follow this procedure:
Step 1 At the Cisco 6100 Chassis View, move your cursor to the CAP ATU-C or LIM slot and right-click.
Step 2 Select Port Properties > Configuration.
Step 3 When the dialog box displays, select Locked under the Administrative State field.
You can delete network interface (NI) modules without first locking them. If you delete LIM NI modules, you could interrupt subscriber calls taking place.
You cannot delete the primary system controller (SC) module.
To delete a chassis, follow this procedure:
Step 1 Place your cursor over the top, bottom, or sides of the chassis to be deleted, and right-click. The menu shown in Figure 10-2 appears.

Step 2 Select Delete Chassis and the chassis is deleted.
