Removing ViewRunner Server and Client Software

Removing ViewRunner Server and Client Software

Once ViewRunner you have installed on a system, you can use the Solaris pkgrm command to remove the packages. Following are the steps to remove ViewRunner server and client software:

Step 1 Log in as root to the workstation from which you want to remove the product.

Step 2 If you want to remove the server applications, execute the following command to stop the ViewRunner server applications:

    # vrStop

Step 3 If you want to remove the client applications, use the following utilities to determine whether any ovw sessions or client applications are running.

    # check_ovw
    # check_clients

Step 4 Stop any ovw or ViewRunner client applications that are running.

Step 5 To remove both the server and client software, execute the following command. Be sure to remove the packages in this order. See "Sample Transcript of ViewRunner Package Removal," for further details.

    # pkgrm CSCOvrovc CSCOvrovs CSCOvrdb

Note If you have both client and server software on a workstation, you should not remove only the server software. However, you may remove the client software without removing the server software. If you wish to remove both server and client applications, remove the client applications first.
