The HP OpenView NNM version 4.11 requires patch PSOV_02123, and version 5.01 requires patch PSOV_02091. Currently, the latest Cumulative Consolidated Patch PSOV_02243 for version 5.01 will cause problems in HP OpenView when creating a new map. This problem does not occur with patch PSOV_02091.
Cisco and HP are working on solving this problem. In the meantime, Cisco distributes patch PSOV_02091 on the ViewRunner for HP OpenView CD since it is no longer available from the HP support Web site.
If HP OpenView NNM is already installed use following command to verify the version:
/usr/ccs/bin/what <OV install directory>/bin/ovw | grep <patch number>
That is, if HP OpenView is installed in the /opt directory, use the following command to verify the version:
/usr/ccs/bin/what /opt/OV/bin/ovw | grep PSOV_01925
