Front Panel Status Indicators

Front Panel Status Indicators

After you have installed the Cisco 6100 modules and wired up your particular configuration, you must apply power and check each module's status indicators. The following sections discuss the status indicators on each 6100 module front panel.

9.1 LIM Front Panel

The following is an illustration showing the line interface module (LIM) front panel status indicators and a table describing their functions.

9.4 Network Interface Module Front Panel

Figure 9-4 and Figure 9-5 show the three types of network interface (NI) module front panels available with the 6100. The optical front panels are labeled differently for OC3 single-mode fiber (SMF) and OC3 multi-mode fiber (MMF). A table follows each illustration describing the functions of their front panel status indicators.
