This document provides information about the labeling of Building Integrated Timing Supply (BITS) terminal blocks on the Cisco 6400 universal access concentrator (UAC) chassis. Some of these units are incorrectly labeled. This document describes how to determine if a Cisco 6400 UAC chassis is mislabeled and how to correct the labeling if necessary. Use this document in conjunction with the Cisco 6400 UAC Hardware Installation and Maintenance Guide.
To identify and correct (if necessary) the labeling on the chassis, complete the following steps:
Step 1 Locate the two BITS terminal blocks (labeled A and B) on the rear of the Cisco 6400 UAC chassis.
Step 2 Compare the original labels with those in Figure 1, and do one of the following:
(a) If the top BITS terminal block is labeled "B" and the bottom terminal block is labeled "A," the labeling on your chassis is correct. Do not proceed with these instructions.
(b) If the labeling does not match Figure 1, proceed to Step 3.
Step 3 Cover the original label "A" with the label sticker "B."
Step 4 Cover the original label "B" with the label sticker "A."
Figure 1 shows the correctly labeled BITS terminal blocks.
