This chapter describes the objectives, audience, organization, and conventions of the LightStream 1010 ATM Switch Software Configuration Guide.

Document Objectives

The LightStream 1010 ATM Switch Software Configuration Guide helps you understand how the LightStream 1010 ATM switch functions and how to configure and customize the switch to your networking needs. The LightStream 1010 ATM Switch Command Reference publication provides an alphabetical listing of software commands used to configure and maintain the switch. The installation, initial configuration, and maintenance of the LightStream 1010 ATM switch chassis, ATM switch processor (ASP), and port adapter modules (PAMs) are provided in the following documents, respectively:

Cisco documentation and additional literature are available in a CD-ROM package, which ships with your product. The Documentation CD-ROM, a member of the Cisco Connection Family, is updated monthly.
